What people are saying about:
1971 Firebird TransAm
"The 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am eclipsed the GTO as the automaker's premier performance offering, and sent the rest of the pony field scurrying. This truly was a muscle car to behold: Its weapon was the biggest V-8 ever offered in the pony class."
Consumer GuidesReview Website
"I loved the way it handled. It was steadier and more stiffly sprung compared to the other cars that GM made."
Paul RimskyEngineer, IBM
"The 1971 Firebird Trans Am was a true enthusiast's performance car. It was loaded with 455 cubic inches of "Poncho-Power", and a wide ratio four-speed transmission. The ominous shaker hood would vibrate at idle, but get on the 455 Trans Am, and that shaker hood would ram air into that thirsty four-barrel carb."
